Luthra Hydro Pneumatic Industries is proud to present a special purpose penumatic machine for assembly shop which uses a unique system that checks the dimensional accuracy of the male component to be press fitted into the female cavity and after testing for dimensional tolerance subsequently presses the same.

The machine has been developed for M/s. Bharat Gears, Thane. A Steel ball has to be press fitted into the cavity of the gear assembly. The ball should withstand the oil pressure in the cavity to upto 4000 bar pressure and as a result needs to be initially tried to be inserted into the cavity at 750 kgf for 15 seconds. The force and time both are adjustable. If the ball slips into the cavity, the gear assembly is rejected. If the ball can withstand the load, then a force of 1.8 tonnes is applied on it, press fitting it into the cavity. The machine is using a three stage tandem pneumatic cylinder and has got fully automatic electronic controls.

The pressure setting can be varied and the pressing force achieved can be upto 21 tonnes. The force and pressure reading is provided on the machine for achieving the exact testing criteria.
